Fees

The Australian Psychological Society has a recommended schedule of fees [currently set at $300 per session] however they do encourage Psychologists to adopt their own approach using their schedule as a guide.  At psychology on main I have taken a flexible approach to my fee structure which will be influenced by both the service required and the source of referral.  The following is an indicative guide for a standard 1 hour consultation according to  mode of presentation

Self Referral:

No Health Fund

Health Fund

$200 per hour

$200 per hour.  Health fund rebate will vary from fund to fund

GP Referral:

Mental Health Plan

No Mental Health Plan

$200 per hour.  Medicare rebate of $92.90 applies for each of ten sessions in each calendar year. Your GP will decide your entitlement to a Mental Health Plan in consultation with you.

$200 per hour.  Private health fund rebate may apply if you have private health insurance

Bulk Billing

psychology on main recognises the difficulty experienced by certain members of the community and therefore undertakes to bulk bill if you have a Mental Health Plan and are a pensioner or full-time student in receipt of government welfare payments as your only source of income or financial support.

Negotiated Fees

In cases of financial hardship I am open to negotiating fees on a case by case basis.  This will be discussed during your first session with me.

Payment

Payment is required at time of service for all face to face appointments.  For your convenience HICAPS is available to facilitate rebates, where applicable, to you at the time of your visit.

For services completed via telehealth, payment is required prior to the time of consultation.  To facilitate this an invoice will be sent prior to consultation.  Following the consultation a paid invoice will be sent to enable you to claim against Medicare or your Private Health Fund.
